TestFlight (Aug 11, 2026): you can submit builds made with Xcode 27 beta 5 + the iOS 27 beta 5 SDKs
Apple updated TestFlight submission support so you can now submit builds created with Xcode 27 beta 5 using the iOS 27.0 beta 5 (and related platform) SDKs for internal and external testing.

What changed
Apple says you can now submit apps built with Xcode 27 beta 5 using the SDK for:
- iOS 27.0 beta 5
- iPadOS 27.0 beta 5
- macOS 27.0 beta 5
- tvOS 27.0 beta 5
- visionOS 27.0 beta 5
- watchOS 27.0 beta 5
…for both:
- internal testing
- external testing
Why this matters
This is the quiet gate that controls whether your beta-season work can move past simulators and internal devices.
If you are doing any OS-cycle work (new SDK behaviours, screenshot updates, onboarding flows that depend on system UI), this kind of release note affects:
- how early you can run real-world QA,
- how much time you have for beta-only bug triage,
- whether a launch window gets squeezed by tooling constraints.
Tiny win
If you have a fall release in the plan, make one person the owner of a simple checklist:
- “Which Xcode + SDK pair does TestFlight accept today?”
- “Do we have at least one external build live for QA?”
It sounds boring, but it stops marketing dates getting committed before the pipeline is actually open.
