Korea App Store age ratings update: GRAC overrides now, two descriptors shift to 12+ in Oct 2026

Apple published a small-but-practical update for apps distributed on the App Store in the Republic of Korea.

What’s changing (plain English)

1) Effective immediately: GRAC can override your App Store Korea age rating

If your app has an official rating from Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC), you can now override your existing Korea age rating to one of the region-specific values:

• All
• 12+
• 15+
• 19+

How: provide your GRAC Rating Classification Number (RCN) with your next version submission.

2) Starting October 2026: two descriptors move from “All” to “12+” in Korea

Apple says these content descriptors will shift from All to 12+ in Korea:

• Infrequent profanity and crude humor
• Infrequent mature or suggestive themes
