Apple is adding new App Store creative assets, and you should prep your templates now
Apple’s new App Store creative assets will show up across product page headers, search results, and In-App Events. The practical move is to get your design system, templates, and approvals ready before the fall launch.

The gist
Apple is rolling out new ways to market your apps and games on the App Store, with creative assets that can be used across multiple surfaces, including:
- your product page header,
- search results,
- and In-App Events.
Apple’s message is basically: these assets are not just “in-use UI screenshots”. They are a chance to show brand, seasonal moments, new content, and campaigns.
Why this matters (beyond “nice visuals”)
If these placements become prominent, you are suddenly operating in a world where:
- your design system and brand toolkit matter more for store performance,
- turnaround time (brief to asset to approval) becomes a growth constraint,
- and teams will need to decide what is “evergreen brand” vs “campaign creative” for the store.
That is not an ASO tweak. It is a workflow and resourcing change.
Tiny win (practical follow-up)
This afternoon, do a 30-minute prep session:
- pull Apple’s templates (Figma/Photoshop/Pixelmator),
- define 2 to 3 “asset modes” you will reuse (evergreen, seasonal, major feature),
- and write a simple approval checklist (claims, legal, localisation, CTA rules).
When the fall launch lands, you will be shipping assets, not debating file formats.
