WWDC26 dates are locked (June 8-12): treat platform season as a product and marketing deadline

Apple confirmed WWDC26 will run June 8-12, with an Apple Park in-person event on June 8. For app teams, the point is not hype, it’s timing: iOS-era changes and new review expectations tend to create real funnel volatility.

Apple confirmed:

  • WWDC26 runs June 8-12, online.
  • There’s also a special in-person event at Apple Park on June 8 (developers + students, limited space).

WWDC is a calendar event, but it behaves like a risk window for growth teams.

When Apple ships platform changes, you often see:

  • new UX conventions (that can make screenshots and onboarding feel dated overnight),
  • new product expectations (permissions, privacy copy, entitlement clarity),
  • new review edge cases (small guideline interpretations that suddenly get enforced).

The impact is rarely “marketing theory”. It shows up as:
